As a Psychotherapist and Social Worker, I am dedicated to helping my clients advance and stabilize their emotional health by applying sound principles for psychological and philosophic conflict-resolution.

Welcome friends,

With undergraduate studies in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maine, along with working with individuals struggling with various types of substance use disorders, my initial work was as a Psychiatric Care Technician in Madison, Wisconsin; followed by moving to Maine to study classical Chinese concepts in Philosophy and Psychology for Human Development; under my mentor Rev. Gola Wolf Richards, M.A., Theology.

Concurrent with diverse training opportunities in outpatient psychotherapy centers, my most recent work has been in a transitional living program for young adults and a community mental health center with those of all ages. I have focused work in Individual, Group, and Family Therapy. I have experiences with implementing approaches and principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jungian / Depth Psychology, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT). I am a Board Member for the Maine Jung Center, the Institute for Contemplative Education, The Humanity Institute, and am CBT certified by the Beck Institute.

Concerning my work with clients, my conceptual skills and strengths from clinical practice are well-suited for highly motivated individuals; open to learning how to advance and stabilize their emotional health, based on sound principles for psychological and philosophic conflict-resolution. My approach to clinical work reflects the understanding that growth requires critical self-reflection and ample time to actualize meaningful change. My experiences in academic studies, clinical services, and social justice arenas affords me a broad range of insights; relevant to developing timely orientations for supporting emotionally composed ways, of handling internal and external, past and present conflicts.
